Join the lab

We are looking for talented postdoctoral researchers with background in molecular biology, biochemistry, liposomes or organic chemistry.
The researcher will contribute to the advancement of synthetic cell technologies, aimed at precise control and readout of natural cells.
Our lab is using synthetic minimal cells, nucleic acid and protein engineering to develop model systems for studying biological processes, for interfacing with natural cells and for control of cellular behaviours.
The researcher will have the opportunity to learn and apply standard molecular biology techniques, cloning, bacterial and mammalian cell culture and primary cultures protocols, as well as liposome techniques and cell-free protein expression systems.

Please send a CV, and briefly describe your research interests.
Also, please arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent directly to kadamala at umn.edu

If you are interested in graduate studies at the University of Minnesota, please take a look at the Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology and Genetics (MCDB&G) and Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics (BMBB) programs.
